How you can help

Thanks to some generous donations this year, Miss Cu was able to pay all the bills for the building and remodeling of the orphanage. Needless to say, that was a huge relief for her. She told me it cost about $2,500 a month to run TTO. ($40-50/child/month) The children’s education fees total about $25,000 a year.

  5. Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Kay Khaing Yu. I am a student from UWCSEA located in Singapore. Currently, I am studying in Grade 11 and I would like to volunteer to work in Truyen Tin Orphanage centre during my “project week”. Project Week is a week where my 3 other teammates and I plan a place to go, without adult helping with the process of our trip and work with different organisations. The purpose of this trip is to become more responsible and independent since this is also a process of learning. Our group chose this organisation because all of the members in our group like to interact with children and we are willing to teach them different diversity of cultures as we are also prepare to learn Vietnamese culture from them. Our project week begins from March 31 to June 7, so we will be working a day or two in the centre since we need to fulfil other school requirements as well. Hope we can work with you soon!!

    Cheers,
    Kay

    • Hello, Kay.
It’s very nice to hear from you. A couple of years ago four students from Singapore visited TTO for four or five days. I was there most of the time. The orphans really enjoyed their visits and so did the students. Unfortunately, I don’t live in Vietnam now but can contact a friend who has been helping, coordinating visits. Please send email to saigonlily@gmail. Com
